Journeys and Stories
Within the starting topic of Journeys and Stories students will continue to experiment in taking their own successful photographs on both manual film and digital processes. This will lead to the production of a body of work contained in a sketchbook and exhibition grade final pieces. Click here to download the overview sheet for this unit (students are given a copy of this in class).
By the end of this unit it is expected that all students will: take their own photographs; have a basic understanding of studio photography; have an understanding of various experimental techniques and produced a sketchbook of supporting work and 1 final piece.
Most students will: use experimental processes in their own photographic investigations and produce a darkroom and a digital final piece. Use a client project brief to plan a photoshoot.
Some learners will have progressed further and will: be able to combine all elements of the course to create dynamic prints of exceptional quality.
Ongoing assessments with grades. Teacher and peer assessment to assist with target setting. Final grade given at end of project.
