‘Distorted World’ Cubist Still Life Project

In this unit students learn about Cubist artists Juan Gris and Pablo Picasso through studying their still life painting.

By the end of this unit it is expected that all students will be able to recognise the characteristics of Cubist still life paintings. Students will explore cubist techniques through a series of still life studies using drawing and mixed media techniques. Students will then develop their ceramics skills by designing and making a clay relief or pot using slab building techniques.
