Can you clarify what Chesterton’s approach has been to teacher-assessed grades for GCSEs and whether you see this as a permanent change moving forwards? If so, what impact does this have on mock tests etc. in Years 10 & 11?

The GCSE grading system has not changed and so we will continue to prepare students for GCSE exams as in previous years. We know that shorter, more targeted questions are likely to provide more success for some students and so, to improve students’ resilience and confidence, we will ensure we use more of this approach earlier on in students’ time at CCC.
