2 days per week – Local Government scale 7-11 £20092 – £21748 FTE with 25 days holiday pro-rata. Initial contract until July 2022.

The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) Computing Curriculum Hub at Chesterton Community College in Cambridge provides training, advice and support to teachers at both primary and secondary level across a wide area in the Eastern Region.

You may have just a couple of years’ experience or over 20 years’ experience and come from wide ranging backgrounds, but at the heart of your skill set will be detail orientated ‘administration’ and the ability to engage quickly with wide ranging IT solutions to support your work.

We will offer a flexible working arrangement, however, at least one day or partial day per week must be spent on-site in Cambridge. You will be a pivotal part of a growing team and will work remotely with the Hub and Primary Lead.

Your day-to-day tasks will be wide-ranging and include:

  • General administrative support including word processing, inputting data onto spreadsheets and databases.
  • Liaising with internal and external customers by email, telephone and face to face
  • Support our trainers and ensuring they have the relevant information and materials to run courses and events
  • Course and event administration and management
  • Managing loan equipment
  • Adding and managing marketing, course, and event information to our booking system
  • Promoting courses and events via social media
  • Sending marketing communications via email newsletters

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent IT skills including a good understanding of Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn new IT systems
